5 Secrets to Continued Success

Develop these 5 attributes of a successful person, and you will find yourself moving quickly toward your goals in life!

• Thick Skin: you cannot be easily offended or hurt if you want to be successful. There will always be people who are jealous or envious or out to bring someone else down—you must develop a way to see past that and let it roll off your back, like “water off a duck’s back.”

Ducks have feathers that are tight and their density act like oil—it keeps the duck dry and warm. So when water (cold or otherwise) lands on the back of a duck, it simply rolls off. Let criticism roll off your back in a similar manner—because if you are going to be successful, you will have your share of criticism. Count on it.

• Obedience: although this might seem strange to talk about to adults and not children, it is important to consider that in order to be a leader, you must first learn how to obey a leader. You must learn the principle of loyalty to a leader if you want to lead others.

Once you have learned how to obey and to follow directions, you can lead others and understand what commands and orders do for an organization and an individual. Consider this: 175 of the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies are former US Marines, and 27 US Presidents served in the military.

• Courage: bravery is not courage, but you cannot have courage without being brave. Courage is the moral fortitude to stand up for your character (touched on in the last article) and to do the right thing—even in the face of adversity.

• Intolerance: not exactly what you might expect to find in an article about success, but each of us must be intolerant of any number of things: intolerant of abuse, of injustice, of the things that you know are immoral, unethical, or illegal. If there’s anything in this world you should be intolerant of, those are some of them. I hope you are an intolerant person—in the right way.

• Sense of Humor: if you don’t have a sense of humor, you will fall flat on your face and never be someone who succeeds. A good portion of the road we walk to success is filled with blockades and potholes. If you come up against one and go down, you must have the ability to laugh at the situation and yourself. If you don’t, you will be angry and bitter about your misfortune and never move past it. Laugh at yourself and what you run up against and you’ll find your climb to the top is quicker and more enjoyable than you thought

What A Breakthrough

Agel was announced as a winner at the 2007 “Utah’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies” banquet, where outstanding Utah entrepreneurs and companies from across the state where recognized. The awards were presented by the MountainWest Capital Network, Utah’s first and largest business networking organization devoted to supporting entrepreneurial success.

Agel received the first award presented in the “Emerging Elite” category. Agel’s Chief Operating Officer Darren Jensen and Chief Financial Officer Kyle Copeland accepted the award.

“We are honored and pleased to be recognized for hard work and commitment to quality,” said Jensen. “We at Agel are proud to be counted among the fastest growing companies in the state of Utah and will continue to strive for excellence.”

Awards in the 100 Fastest Growing categories are based on percentage revenue increases from 2002 through 2006. Companies presented in the Emerging Elite category are selected from among companies less than five but more than two years of operation that show significant promise for future success.

Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr., who earlier in the month had welcomed team members at AgelWorld 2007, was the keynote speaker at this year’s Utah 100 banquet. The awards were presented by renowned Utah radio personality Grant Nielson of KSL Newsradio.

“The Utah 100 program is an important contribution to the Utah business community. It provides a forum for highlighting the achievements of both emerging and mature business, and keeps the public informed about positive developments,” said Todd Leishman, Chairman of this year's Utah 100 Program. “The Utah 100 award has become a prestigious recognition for our winners, and has significant meaning to those who receive it. These awards will signify to the Utah business community, as well as those outside our state, that Utah continues to be a great place to do business.”

What a month it has been, it's been a long month since I last posted a blog and we have been very busy. Both personally and professionally, on the personal front we have just purchased a new home and we are very excited to have this new property. We would have never been able to purchase this property however without the extra income we receive from Agel.

Professionally we are equally excited as we are now announcing the Grand Opening of the NEW Agel Online Store. TheAgelStore is now open and taking orders. This store has been established for those people who are interested in the products but not necessarily interested in becoming distributors of the products. It's FREE to join up as a customer and once you join you will have your own account number so that you can adjust your shipments as you need them. For instance, you want your EXO and UMI to come on the 5th of every month, No Problem. You need to place an immediate order of FLX and HRT, you can do it. It's all up to you.

On the distributor side of things, Agel is in a flurry of activity like never before.
